Janna Fröhlich, harp

Janna Maria Fröhlich studied composition privately with Robert Fritz and taught music theory at the Contemporary School of Music while still in high school. She holds a BA in Music from Wheaton College, studied early music and musicology at New England Conservatory, and earned her MFA in Early Music from Sarah Lawrence College. She is a degree candidate in the Music Therapy/Mental Health Counseling program at Lesley University. She is the Soloist-in-Residence at First Church in Jamaica Plain, Unitarian Universalist and currently performs with her Celtic group, Chroi Anam Guth. She has performed locally underneath the direction of Tom Zajac (Wellesley College Collegium), and with Capella Alamire, Seraphim Singers, Cecilia Society, Musica Romanza, The Stuart Highland Pipe Band, and many others. She also recently co-founded the First Church in Jamaica Plain soirée series which presents four performances a year in the Church’s historic and acoustically amazing parish hall.
