Kimberly Sizer, soprano

Kimberly Sizer, soprano, is a native of the Chicago area. This year Kimberly was a finalist in the Connecticut Concert Opera’s American Opera Idol.  Ms. Sizer is also an active member in the early music group Cappella Clausura and the soprano section leader at Wellesley Congregational Church. In the past, Kimberly has soloed in numerous concert performances including Mendelssohn’s Lauda Sion and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with Christ Church NYC.  In 2006 and 2008 Kimberly attended the International Vocal Arts Institute in Puerto Rico where she was privileged to sing in masters classes with Joan, Dorneman, Paul Nadler, and Diana Soviero as well as perform with the San Juan Symphony. Some of Kimberly’s most notable performances include The Boy Soprano in The Film Company’s live presentation of Guy Madden’s Brand Upon the Brain, The Wife in the world premiere of Reqiuem for the Living and the role of Daphne in Musica Nuova’s Sibling Rivalry.  Kimberly’s most recent performances include playing Misericordia and Amor Celestis in Hildegard von Bingen’s Ordo Virtutum. Ms. Sizer is a graduate of Mannes the New School for Music.
