Lisa Lynch, Soprano

Soprano Lisa Lynch is a versatile musician whose repertoire ranges from early music to contemporary premieres.  Her recent performances include the role of Sicle in Cavalli’s L’Ormindo with the Harvard Early Music Society and soprano soloist in Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb with the Cantata Singers under the direction of David Hoose.  Ms. Lynch has been a soloist with the Cantata Singers Chamber Series and Masterworks Chorale Summer Sings, and has appeared in recital at King’s Chapel, the Public Library of Brookline, and Princeton University.  Ms. Lynch also was selected for the Songfest Professional Artists program in Malibu, California.  Her opera performances include roles in The Magic Flute, The Turn of the Screw, and John Cage’s Songbooks.  Ms. Lynch is also a co-founder of the Libella Quartet, a vocal quartet specializing in contemporary music.  She holds an M.M. from New England Conservatory and a B.M. from the Eastman School of Music.  Also an accomplished pianist, Ms. Lynch has taught voice and piano at Bennington College and the Corwin-Russell School in Sudbury, MA.  She is currently pursuing a D.M.A. in voice at the University of Connecticut, where she is a teaching assistant.  Ms. Lynch is very pleased to join Cappella Clausura this season.
