Margaret Felice, Soprano

Originally from greater Hartford, Margaret Felice holds degrees from Boston College and The Boston Conservatory. Of her recent appearance in Carmen, The Boston Musical Intelligencer wrote "Margaret Felice, with her drop-dead beautiful voice, was ideal as Micaëla". The 2008-2009 season included appearances with Boston Opera Collaborative (Carmen, Gianni Schicchi - La Ciesca) along with  Margaret's West Virginia debut as the soprano soloist in Haydn's Creation at Concord University. She was a semi-finalist in the Peter Elvins Vocal Competition, finalist in the Little Italy Soprano Competition, and was awarded "Best Diction" at Stelle dell'Anno Nuovo sponsored by the Italian Consul General - Boston.
An artist with a particular interest in urban education, Margaret developed and directed a High School Audition Workshop, run by Boston Opera Collaborative at the Boston Arts Academy in Fall 2007. Margaret has directed boys' and girls' choirs in New Bedford, Dorchester and the Germantown neighborhood of Quincy, MA, and is an Assistant Director of the Liturgical Arts Group at Boston College. Margaret lives in South Boston and is a religion teacher and director of liturgical music at a Catholic high school.
