Sudie Marcusie, soprano

Sudie Marcuse, soprano, is well known as a specialist in historical performance throughout the New England area. Critics have praised her "clarity, precision and grace" and "riveting dramatic force". Most recently she has been a featured soloist with the Boston University Baroque Orchestra under Martin Pearlman, and with the Hampshire Choral Society in J.S. Bach's St. John Passion and Mass in B Minor (in June of 2008). She was a soloist with the Arcadia Players Baroque Orchestra for fourteen seasons, and is the founder of Mirror of the Baroque, a period-instrument chamber ensemble. She has sung with the Cambridge Concentus, the Church of the Advent Choir, and numerous other choirs including Cantata Singers, Canto Armonico, Cantabile, Novi Cantori, and Capella Alamire. Presently a candidate for the DMA degree in Historical Performance at Boston University, she teaches voice in Boston, Westborough, and Feeding Hills, MA.
