Teri Kowiak, Mezzo-Soprano

Teri Kowiak is an early music musician based in the Boston area. Most
recently, she interpreted the role of La Inmortalidad in Longy School of
Music’s 2008 Early Opera Salir el Amor del Mundo and the role of Anima from Hildegard von Bingen’s Ordo Virtutem this past spring. Although specializing in early music, she also enjoys performing a wide range of music including classical, jazz, traditional Irish and Celtic melodies and new music by living composers. She was a featured vocalist on bagpiper Michael McNutt’s (from Celtic ensemble Tartanic) premiere solo CD Redline. Formerly based in Rochester New York, she has performed with the Greater Rochester Jazz Orchestra and Concentus Women’s Chorus. Currently she is the Alto soloist and section leader for Church of Our Savior in Brookline, and is a candidate for Master of Music in Early Music at Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA.
